CEO - IN - RESIDENCE
CEOs are at the center of everything we do. Unlike the casual, non-committal Executive in Residence arrangements typically found between executives and other private equity groups - ones that only come about when there is a deal to look at - we have built our entire business model around the CEO-in-Residence (CIR).
We develop exclusive partnerships with exceptional CEOs to find great companies that we will invest in and they will run. Our model is to bring these CEOs onto our team as CIRs, leverage our deal sourcing capabilities to find promising founder-owned businesses seeking fresh leadership, and then invest in these companies and appoint the CIRs as their new leaders. Over 15 CEOs have worked with Alpine in this capacity.

CEO - IN - TRAINING™
Over the years we have met many great managers who have CEO “DNA”, but need a few more cycles before being ready to assume their first CEO roles. Our CEO-in-Training™ program, which combines senior operating roles in Alpine companies with mentorship, training, and community, is designed to provide an accelerated path for these aspiring CEOs.
After a period of intense focus on their development, we back these leaders to run their own companies as CEOs.

Stu Blumberg is the Founder and CEO of Health Plus Management Services. Prior to Health Plus, Stu founded Dynamic Healthcare Management, which was sold to FONAR Corporation in 1998. Stu earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractice College.
Sean Callahan is a former Alpine CEO-in-Residence and has been the CEO of YDesign Group since September 2008. Previously, Sean was based in London as the Senior Vice President and GM of EMEA for Business Engine, an enterprise software company. Sean holds a BS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business and Masters of Engineering from Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering.
Jim Contardi serves as the CEO of ARCOM. He has over 20 years experience guiding teams to compelling results at leading software and technology-enabled business services firms. He most recently spent 7 years at KKR-held First Data Corporation in a variety of general management and go-to-market leadership roles. He started his career at IBM and later went on to hold senior leadership positions at i2 Technologies, Entrust and SAP. Jim holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and BS in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, where he graduated with honors.
Matt DiMaria is currently serving as CEO-in-Residence at Alpine. He brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in managing and building high growth software companies in consumer and business-to-business markets. Most recently, Matt was CEO at Eyefi, a market leader in IoT imaging. Prior to Eyefi, he was Executive Vice President and GM at Roxio. He started his executive career at Symantec, where he rose from Director of Product Marketing to Vice President of Americas Marketing. He later went on to hold senior leadership positions at Calico Commerce, Serena Software, Sonic Solutions and Rovi. Matt earned his BS in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland.
Tim Ehde serves as the CEO of CarHop. Tim held several roles over 17+ years with CarHop, including COO and CFO. Prior to CarHop, he spent 8 years at American Agco, Inc. as COO and CFO. Tim graduated from the University of South Dakota and earned his MBA from the Carlson School of Management.
Chris Gallagher serves as CEO of Vionic Group. Chris has gained over 25 years of experience in Footwear Retail and Wholesale since beginning his career as a trainee manager of Williams shoe stores in Australia. He was part of the leadership team that grew the share price from $1 to $6.40 at the time of his departure four years later. Chris graduated from Mt Eliza Business School and earned his MBA from the Macquarie University Graduate School of Business.
Joshua Greenberg serves as CEO of Risk Management Strategies (RMS). Josh is also a Managing Director of Montebello Holdings, an investment company. Prior to RMS, Josh was Chairman and President of HealthCPA, and formerly Chairman and President of Aero Logistics, which was founded in 2001. Josh received his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Virginia and earned his M.B.A. at Stanford. He resides in Hillsborough, California with his wife, Susanna, and their two rambunctious boys Addison and Grant.
Warren Heffelfinger serves as CEO of Ingenio. Prior to Ingenio, Warren founded and led Arrival Communications, the leading provider of competitive telecom services in Central California, then founded and served as CEO of Bay Alarm Medical, the west coast's largest family owned provider of medical alert services to seniors. Warren graduated from Yale University.
Ali Jenab is currently serving as CEO-in-Residence at Alpine. He has over 30 years of experience in managing software and IT businesses. Most recently, Ali was President and CEO of Zetta, an enterprise cloud backup and data recovery solution provider. Prior to Zetta, he was President and CEO of SourceForge. He started out his career at Amdahl Corporation, where he rose from Engineer to President of the company in 17 years. Ali earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of the Pacific.
Ray Kelly serves as the CEO of MidAmerica Administration & Retirement Solutions, Inc. Prior to MidAmerica, Ray served as the CEO of Graduation Alliance and of Certiport, both technology-enabled education companies. Ray has an MBA and a computer science degree, and has been an active board member of several corporate and non-profit foundation boards.
